About
I joined Meta’s Facility Operations team in Montgomery, AL in December 2025 and work a 24×7 shift rotation at a hyperscale data center campus, covering its HV/MV power, cooling, water, fire/life-safety, and control systems.
Before Meta, I worked in HVAC/R service in Tampa: nearly seven years at Kovnick Investments on light-commercial rooftop units and split systems, then two at Advance Industrial Mechanical maintaining precision cooling, chillers, and building controls at dialysis centers and other healthcare facilities without disrupting their operations.

Meta– Present · Montgomery, AL- Passed Meta’s Personnel Qualification Standard final board in March 2026, four months after hire, then earned Campus Management & Control Center qualification in April, covering equipment monitoring, BMS and HMI actions, and emergency and alarm response.
- Hold Meta’s HV/MV Operator, Authorized Electrical Person, and LOTO authorizations; completed site-specific HV/MV substation training and equipment owner training on arc-resistant, gas-insulated MV switchgear.
- Completed PQS evaluations covering the power chain from substation to server and network (MV switchgear, transformers, UPS, static transfer, PDUs, battery monitoring) and generators, including load banks and grid-failure operation.
- Maintain chilled-water AHUs, air-cooled chillers, direct evaporative cooling, and RO/UV industrial water treatment; troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
- Work day and night shifts under MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs with independent verification and NFPA 70E practices; manage work requests, work orders, and LOTO in Hexagon EAM.

Service Technician, Level 3
Advance Industrial Mechanical– · Tampa, FL- Maintained Liebert and other CRAC units on dry coolers and glycol loops, holding tight temperature and humidity tolerances at dialysis centers and other healthcare facilities.
- Troubleshot and repaired large chillers (including water distribution and treatment), VRF, DX, DOAS, commercial refrigeration, and ice machines; maintained pumps, VFDs, and electrical distribution.
- Installed, troubleshot, and tuned low-voltage BACnet/BMS controls used for remote monitoring from control rooms.
- Read blueprints, CAD, and shop drawings to QA/QC retrofits; closed work orders in enterprise asset management systems.
- Responded to facility emergencies under established EOPs on rotating shifts; worked with other trades on fire/life-safety and generator integrations.
- Managed vendors and subcontractors, ordered parts, escorted personnel on site, and trained junior technicians.

HVAC Service Technician & Installer
Kovnick Investments– · Tampa, FL- Installed, maintained, and repaired light-commercial rooftop units (5–20 tons), mini-splits, and split systems, with a focus on DX cooling and refrigeration cycles.
- Diagnosed electrical and low-voltage faults; performed air balancing, VAV repairs, and refrigeration equipment maintenance.
- Worked with engineering teams on system upgrades to ASHRAE standards and on procedure-based maintenance.
- Took part in root-cause analysis of system failures, performed QA/QC on construction and retrofit projects, and documented work in a CMMS.
